Project Title:

Dispatching and Management Center for Optimizing Home Care Integrated Services

Funding amount: 5.448.125 lei of which 4.500.000 lei irredeemable

Implementation period: September 2016 – August 2020

Project summary:

The project is co-financed from the European Development Found through the Operational Programme Competitiveness, through the founding action called Partnerships for knowledge transfer.

The main beneficiaries of the project are the home care services providers who may use the ICT support offered for optimizing their activity, but also the home care services beneficiaries (elders and/ or chronic patients who need ambulatory/ palliative home care, people with different disabilities), who may receive better and more affordable services at home.

The fact that the european population is ageing is well known and revealed in many reports and statistics. The romanian population is following the european trend and is also aging, due to multiple factors (an increase of life hope due to better acces to medical care, increased availability of medication and cures for different diseases, better acces to clean water, etc.). The aging population implies a higher need for health care services for elders, many of which may be offered at home.

The main objective of the project is to create multiple partnerships for knowledge transfer in order to develop and implement a network of Dispatching and Management Centers for optimizing home care integrated services - CDMS, as a support for home care services providers.

The technical basis of the project focuses on optimizing the activities involved in offering medical and social services at home, by offering the software and hardware support needed for a provider of such services.
